This Privacy Policy explains what information Clipry AI collects when you use our service, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain-English on purpose.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- URLs and text you submit for analysis.
- Files you attach to an analysis.
- Account information (name, email, profile picture) if you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Yahoo.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, approximate timing.
- Device data: browser type, operating system, IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies for session management and analytics.
Information from third parties
When you sign in with a third-party provider (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo), we receive basic profile details (name, email, avatar) per your provider's settings. We do not receive your password.
2. How We Use Information
- To generate AI summaries, transcripts, and analyses of the content you submit.
- To maintain your account, history, and preferences.
- To protect the service against abuse, spam, and fraud.
- To improve features, fix bugs, and measure aggregate usage.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with:
- AI providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and similar) — the URL or text you submit is forwarded to these providers to generate an analysis.
- Infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN, storage) that operate the service on our behalf.
- Affiliate partners — when you click an outbound link that has an affiliate relationship (for example eBay), the click may include a tracking identifier so we receive attribution if you make a purchase.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We use lightweight analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. If we ever show advertisements, those ad networks may set their own cookies — that will be disclosed here when applicable.
5. Outbound Link Redirector
Some outbound links pass through a short interstitial page at /api/go.php. This page briefly displays the destination, optionally shows an ad placeholder, and forwards you to the target URL. The interstitial logs the click for analytics purposes.
6. Data Retention
Analyses, attached files, and account data are retained while your account is active. You can delete individual analyses from your history at any time. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS, access controls, and isolated storage. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. Children's Privacy
Clipry AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Choices & Rights
- Access, correct, or delete your account data by signing in and visiting your settings.
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
- Residents of certain regions (EEA, UK, California, etc.) have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to object to or restrict processing.
10. International Users
Clipry AI is operated from the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, your information may be processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
